Confirmed KLD only owns 41%

I'd like to know why KLD bought a share of SAFC.

- Does he want to own an english football club?

- Why only buy 41%

- If Donald wouldn't sell him more shares then why not just buy a different club?

- Was ot just because he knows Satori?

Also who are what was he referring to when he said "assest strippers" and why was it span to sound like it was the people he part owns with the club?
Not forgetting Donald was really scratching around trying to pay the bills because of Covid so surely KLD was coming from a strong negotiating position.

To me they’ve approached him and asked him to come on board and they’re all in it together trying to preach the need for a lack of shareholder investment as we’ll develop and sell young players to stay afloat 👎🏼

This, I struggle to accept, that the Louis-Dreyfus family with their experience and the two long term associates are going to be buying 41% without a lot of guarantees. I doubt Methven and Donald would/could dupe them.

"Sunderland owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has just a 41 per cent stake in the club, according to the latest reports.

claims the Swiss-French billionaire owns 'less than a majority shareholding' with Stewart Donald retaining a 34 per cent stake in the club.

In response to questions put to the club by The Athletic , Sunderland revealed a breakdown of the shareholdings, with Juan Sartori holding 20 per cent and Charlie Methven also retaining five per cent.

Louis-Dreyfus said: “As previously stated, I have executive control of the running of the football club — something that was a fundamental requirement upon the purchase of my shares — and the executive management team inclusive of Steve Davison and Kristjaan Speakman report directly into me on a day-to-day basis."

Is he definitely attending the fans meeting ( sorry I dint know much about them )

They've misled by not being open about the nature of the controlling interest, and the wording around it. I reached the conclusion pretty much anyone would make. I really didn't see this arrangement at all.
Fair enough, I must have misconstrued your comments at the time. I realise you were not trying to mislead.

I said this on another thread, Charlie being with KLD at the match would only enrage supporters, the share issue coming out, just wondering if Charlie and Donald are trying to hurry up the buy out, maybe KLD is just helping them along quicker than they think

So KLD has spent millions buying a massive share only to be out voted by three others who aren’t close to him wealth wise. Doesn’t sound plausible tbh.

- Since the Will Grigg fiasco we've spent next to nothing on transfer fees
- The stadium deteriorates year after year (see the knackered speakers and shite pitch), obviously spending nowt on it unless absolutely necessary
- Staff have been stripped back as much as possible to the extent that people can't even pay on the gate any more. Is the club shop even open?
- Seems like we have about two people managing marketing, the website and all our social media
- Couldn't get Keane over the line as certain "minority" shareholders obviously wouldn't stump up for him despite KLD making it pretty clear he was first choice

Even without this news it was obvious really that the clowns are still in control. The club is basically being run into the ground - you can guarantee that if we don't go up this season, Neil and Stewart will be off and those transfer fees will be pocketed by the clowns.
Exactly. They are not investing and it's just fire fighting when necessary.

Even with promotion there will be no money.

This is sickening.
