RAWA Collective and Ticketing Meetings

Status
Not open for further replies.
Two meetings coming up in May

1) A meeting with the interim CEO about recent ticketing issues

2) The regular collective meeting

Please leave feedback in this thread for me to collate and send over to RAWA.

Please can I ask that the thread is kept on topic with constructive feedback. I know that some you think RAWA is not fit for purpose, I should be replaced etc etc. I already have enough of those type of comments.
Can you ask why they charge a £20 admin fee for something that is solely carried out online?

Also ask them to mark themselves out of 10 on how they perceive their ticketing operation is going at the moment?

TBH @Becs, i think Kier Hardy Way should be closed post game - I'm not sure what we'd do with P&R buses, but we should follow Villa for example, where they closed the whole road outside the away end before and after the game. No danger of getting hit when fans (both home and away) to/away from the ground heading over from, and back to Star City.
whilst i agree about the issues on kier hardy way i'm not sure it would be as easy as folk might think to close the road. at villa and other grounds the roads that are closed are right outside the exits from the stadiums.
i would imagine it would mean a lot of meetings etc from the club/police/council/national highways etc. they don't just shut roads without good reason (although this is one and i suspect there will have to be someone hurt before they even contemplate it)

Good luck with this 😂

I don't envy you with the amount of problems people are going to bring up, I just hope they can all be highlighted in the meeting.

Top of the agenda needs to be the treatment of a certain fan who has put his heart and soul into helping the club and other fans only to be banned.

The treatment of corporate ticket holders and not allowing them to downgrade when there were plenty of seats available.

Not letting season ticket holders move to cheaper seats.

Thanks Becs
Season tickets can move to cheaper seats, I did.

Tickets should be able to be passed to other people and logged somewhere, kids struggle to get away tickets, chances of going back to who you apply with points shared and fall into that phase bracket would be good? Gives people a chance of actually getting a ticket and building points

Interesting that. Would be helpful if RAWA went in with this info to hand.
This still doesn’t help people build points tho, it just goes to someone in the phase it sold out, most of the people having a whinge were on 10 points or under saying closed shop etc personally going back to the old system 1 person on 60 applies with someone on 10 for example they go into phase 2 on 35 points

I get lots of comments about public transport, parked cars on Kier Hardy Way, traffic build up on various routes out of the city, pedestrian crossing at Keel Square etc.

I wondered if an egress group would be viable that could include external stakeholders to address such issues.

If it was easier to leave, that might stop the early leavers too.
Northern trains going south too. Abysmal they are.
Why did he say only 2 premier league clubs have full time physical ticket offices?
Readying us for doors closing?

I imagine things are going to get worse around that area in new near futue, now planning permission has been given for sheepfolds we will have a lot of construction going on .

I imagine that will see further closures potentially

I’d like to get an idea of full ticket rules and regulations for next season including what happens if someone’s failed an ID check. There’s far too many stories of different things happening to different people and it needs to be consistent across the board. That includes the rules for people both in a branch and not in a branch when it comes to passing tickets on.

I saw somewhere (possibly in this thread) that Arsenal offer an Away Ticket Transfer Scheme

Supporter purchases ticket ... said supporter goes to game ... receives a BCP
Supporter purchases ticket ... supporter passes ticket to a friend ... friend goes to game ... NO BCP.

It'll soon make folk think about buying tickets to pass on

not everything has to be about that problem though

having a system to pass on away tickets simply helps people who have bought a ticket and can't make the match, rather than the ticket going un-used

That still doesn’t help the piece whinging they can’t get tickets on under 10 points. Sure it would just go into the system where it sold out

to be honest, thats fair enough. its better than they system we currently have

Most of the argument in previous threads was closed shop can’t get tickets never gets to my phase etc so really it is still part of the same problem
Not saying we shouldn’t have a system but the system your referring to would only help people in that phase no one else, and if no one buys it still gone to waste

so what do you think should be introduced to get around away ticekts going spare on the day ? i mean if someone doesn't turn up on the day, not someone buying with the intention of not going

all the roads in the vicinity of the ground are closed anyway though for a time before and after the game. there's quite a difference between closing those and a main road. not arguing mind, i don't go that way so just going off what folk say on here but i just don't think it's as simple a process as it's made out.

Pass it on to friends or family, must be connected on the website together 🤷🏼‍♂️ regardless of points
