RAWA Collective and Ticketing Meetings

Status
Not open for further replies.
Two meetings coming up in May

1) A meeting with the interim CEO about recent ticketing issues

2) The regular collective meeting

Please leave feedback in this thread for me to collate and send over to RAWA.

Please can I ask that the thread is kept on topic with constructive feedback. I know that some you think RAWA is not fit for purpose, I should be replaced etc etc. I already have enough of those type of comments.

Well said Becs, they’ll still be a few who can’t read properly and feel the need to shout the loudest at the moon tho…

You can transfer home tickets
Yes I know, and I'm not saying it isn't something that should be done , but has to be ways so that seller loses the point

I wonder if any other club has an away ticket resale system

Arsenal's policies if anyone is interested on away resale

Also spurs

I am no longer able to attend the Away fixture - what can I do?
If you are unable to attend an away match once you have received your ticket, please complete this form as soon as possible to discuss returning your ticket. We will make best endeavours to reallocate the ticket to another eligible supporter, even at late notice.

Interesting that. Would be helpful if RAWA went in with this info to hand.

I couldn't find other clubs policies so I don't think it's premier league wide , but on these 2 examples the resale has to go through the teams website

Newcastle have a 72 hour window like other suggested , can be used twice and neither person gets a loyalty point

When does the interim guy get replaced Becs?

"This summer"

I know that's not very specific like!
I think you might already have it logged from the other thread, but please reconsider the legends way choices. Or if not, allow people to choose where their stone goes
I have paid a lot of money to be placed next to a legend.

Scott, Defoe, Reid, Murray would not even be in the top 100

I did mention that but will bring up again. I've also bought a stone and would prefer being next to a proper legend.

Not a season ticket holder these days but I’ll throw in some thoughts

You buy a concert ticket through Dice and you can transfer it to someone else or put it back on the waiting list. We absolutely need this model.

The tech exists elsewhere

These tickets are going to the same people every week, it’s not 10 nights of Taylor Swift at Wembley (which never seems to have ticket issues)

- ability to list home tickets early. If they get snapped up give 1/3 to the ticket holder, 1/3 to the club, 1/3 to the foundation.

- away tickets should be listed too. Keep it open until an hour before kick off so anyone who has travelled can get a spare one. Same principles as above. Each person gets 2 transfers (to mates) a season. And a further 2 listings. The person who gets the ticket gets the point.

Ensures people don’t hoard their tickets and points. Additional revenue for the club. Money to the foundation.

This isn’t bloody difficult tech
The thing is though, people that just want to accrue the points for the decent away days, they just get the ticket, sell it on and claim the point. Like i say i know of someone mebees been to 5 games all season, home & away, yet has had an away ticket for every game and sold it on to the same person. its not fair on them trying to build their points up

This is probably off topic and I apologise if it is but could the club approach Nexus to put on an extra metro or two after home games. Bin this if it is out of the scope of your meetings. Thank you.

I get lots of comments about public transport, parked cars on Kier Hardy Way, traffic build up on various routes out of the city, pedestrian crossing at Keel Square etc.

I wondered if an egress group would be viable that could include external stakeholders to address such issues.

If it was easier to leave, that might stop the early leavers too.

Transfer or sell the ticket and you lose the point

I agree totally, but it’s not that easy is it really. The person I know has done it for the last two seasons with no issue at all. Whereas my other son has been collared twice this season alone to prove he is who is on the ticket

There is no reason the tech couldn’t make it work
I would love it to so much you know. I sound like a right grass, but personally it’s not fair on my youngest son, and I’ll bet a pound to a penny there’s a few in here in similar positions. This wasn’t such an issue when we were going to Cheltenham and Crewe was it, yet soon as emirates and the likes appear again they want to go and raise the issue. I say do the hard miles. Mind I’m dreading next year, potentially Southampton and Ipswich hoping Brighton and Bournemouth. I might end up sending one of them back 😂😂

I think summit needs done to the people who buy away tickets to purposely sell them on to only claim the BCP, i know of someone that solely picks and chooses his games rest he sells on to same person, annoys me as my son is trying build his points up and things like this isn't helping him
Easier said than done i know

There are 101 other threads on here about the supposed passing on of details, yes it goes on but not as widespread as people on here have us believe.
Anyways this thread is NOT for this.

There is only 1 topic to hand and the disgraceful treatment of a certain Sunderland fan, this needs sorting and not to be left to drift!

I think the premier League may see it as easy to tout if you dan transfer 2 a season .

I know this won't be the case
Premier League don't seem to care when vividseats have Chelsea tickets for sale for away games. Surely if they were to get annoyed at people being able to transfer to another SAFC fan/customer theyd have stopped Todd Boehly from selling them on his website at over 6 times the face value.

Makes you wonder why @Ghandi Floss and @Guinness Guzzler relinquished the role doesn’t it, I’m sure you are now well aware @Becs

Nah. None of that bothered me. RAWA got absolute pelters when it/I first started. But I was happy to tell folk to piss off if I thought it was unwarranted.

I packed in because I started to dislike knowing so much from behind the scenes.
I just wanted to feel like a proper supporter again.

1) far greater transparency on away ticket allocations please. How many fans have x amount of points, or how people are in each phase.

2) can you request further details on what the membership he referred to on the podcast is?

3) can he clarify why he said we’re one of the only clubs with a manned ticket office in the PL, when that’s been proven not to be true?

That bloke you highlight there is unwittingly the root cause of much of the issues are suffering now.
Why the Premiership are putting in place the rules, why the club are taking a sledge hammer to the problem.
It’s been allowed to fester for ages.
It needed a much more collaborative approach from the club to enforce new behaviours.

Can we question why the ticket office manager doesn’t work the main days the first team play? The amount of ticket issues we have and have no one to contact on the day is lunacy

I have mentioned this before but I'll put it on again as I think it's ridiculous that you can't speak to someone on days when people are likely to be attending the ground. Not everyone lives local and has time to visit during the week.

TBH @Becs, i think Kier Hardy Way should be closed post game - I'm not sure what we'd do with P&R buses, but we should follow Villa for example, where they closed the whole road outside the away end before and after the game. No danger of getting hit when fans (both home and away) to/away from the ground heading over from, and back to Star City.

Fundamentally the biggest issue for me was that 65 people were banned from the biggest game of our season (one of the biggest games in the last few decades now we find out) for no fault of their own. Despite the club having zero evidence to ban them or evidence people weren’t using their own tickets (because many had never passed on tickets) all because they were associated with someone the ticket office didn’t like.

I’d like to know how the club intend to apologise to these loyal fans. And what steps have even taken to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Also, this is a cheeky one but can they also address the rumour that tickets are being sold on for a profit by their own staff, and players tickets as well. Would be good to ensure they’ll doing an internal investigation on things like that - because if it was the fans we’d be banned for a very long time .
