RAWA Collective and Ticketing Meetings

Status
Not open for further replies.
Two meetings coming up in May

1) A meeting with the interim CEO about recent ticketing issues

2) The regular collective meeting

Please leave feedback in this thread for me to collate and send over to RAWA.

Please can I ask that the thread is kept on topic with constructive feedback. I know that some you think RAWA is not fit for purpose, I should be replaced etc etc. I already have enough of those type of comments.

Good luck with this 😂

I don't envy you with the amount of problems people are going to bring up, I just hope they can all be highlighted in the meeting.

Top of the agenda needs to be the treatment of a certain fan who has put his heart and soul into helping the club and other fans only to be banned.

The treatment of corporate ticket holders and not allowing them to downgrade when there were plenty of seats available.

Not letting season ticket holders move to cheaper seats.

Thanks Becs

Makes you wonder why @Ghandi Floss and @Guinness Guzzler relinquished the role doesn’t it, I’m sure you are now well aware @Becs

i hope that a good defence of SAFC2012 can be put forward and a very strong message told to the club face-to-face that its simply not good enough, to treat people like that.

i'm guessing the in's and out's have been done to death, but it be asked of the club to reassess their stance, and accept that the punishment of being banned for the last 4 away games of the season was proportionate. accept mistakes have been made on both sides and move forward with his ban being lifted. the clubs behaviour over this whole sorry episode - regardless of what his 'crime' was - is absolutely disgraceful and they need telling. the 65 lads who got their tickets cancelled for the mags away were never even informed by the club. i really don't think it should be allowed to drift away into history.

There has to be complete transparency about the "investigation" into the ticketing fiasco of Leeds/Newcastle, and the subsequent fallout from that and the people who have been unfairly treated on the back of it.

I think it would also be useful if they could comment on the hypocrisy shown in the whole thing when certain individuals were actually utilised by the club in the not so distant past for essentially what they have now been banned for.

The changeover from ticketmaster to the new platform. I lost BCPs and I couldn't speak to anyone, got ignored by everyone. What is being done to ensure this wont happen this year.

Can we suggest that if an someone cant make an away game, they are able to transfer up to 3 per season to stop all the shenanigans going on. 'I go to what I can but if many are sick or ill on the day, its a shame to go to waste'

Can we list the number of points people have 'Middlesborough do this'

Downgrading from hospitality really needs to be looked at, when we moved from the BCB we decided against Founders in the end and got tickets in the South Stand, however if we had took them up on Founders tickets and hated it and wanted to move back then there would have been no route back at all. Each request to downgrade should be handled differently, there was no mention at the time of the Timeshare like sales pitch to get us in to Founders that we would be stuck in there. Granted it shouldn't be used as a way of circumventing waiting lists (hospitality for one season and downgrade the next).

There just needs to be a lot more transparency around the ticket office and how they operate as it appears that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and misinformation is passed as gospel.

Which absolute clownshoe came up with the idea of IDing away fans and banning them for passing tickets on, when there’s no other way to ‘legally’ get rid of your ticket? Do they expect us to lose out on any game we can’t attend anymore?
The premier league, you can't swap tickets.

Let's face it a lot of people buy them to sell, I could have went to nearly every away game this season and not got one loyalty point

When does the interim guy get replaced Becs?

I think tickets should be available to be transferred back to the club and sold with the right points and, and the point removed from the original buyer

There should. But that wouldn't solve the problem of last minute drop outs.

Their needs to be a system where once or twice per season you can transfer your away ticket to anyone with a SAFC membership number , even non ST holders.

Having to go via the club or even to a supporter with enough points will make it virtually impossible to arrange on the morning of a game

ID at events isn't really a new thing, though. UK football is probably just catching up. There definitely should be a mechanism for putting your ticket back into the "market", which becomes available to fans in a certain phase or whatever - and you lose the loyalty point, or rather a loyalty point does not get applied to you account after the game.

Potentially the premier league may view that as too open to touting , I know the details still have to be registered

Not going to pretend I know the premier league rules around this though

This is exactly what I’m trying to get at - it’s ridiculous why that isn’t an option.

As you can expect, Becs, I'll have some strong opinions I'd like to share with you via a DM;) .

My biggest gripe right now is that Tom B is insistent that we WILL maintain the connection with existing fans, and make fan-lead decisions (whilst seeking to extend our global reach) - BUT at the same time, ticketing policies and systems have been doing the exact opposite.

Either Tom is out of step, or the TO is, as right now there's a lot of good work being undone in fan relations by a refusal to listen and really understand.
