Hope the Sky team recording it didn't want a drink of water or to use a toilet

I guess they wanted to see impoverished areas and run-down shithole's of a ground to show just how bad a state the club game is.

Bet they have a load of blokes who dedicate their time FOC to keep it going. Fair play to them.

Brandon went nearly 2 seasons without winning a league game a couple of years ago because the funds were tight. We didn't spend unnecessary money on pro's and got our house in order through hard work and a good youth set-up. Now we're reaping the rewards and all money put into the cricket team has been earnt behind the bar and through sponsorship by having a well ran ship. Hence why Durham chose our ground to play 2 Second Team games this year. People can say what they want but it is only really jealousy, there's no better ground in the league than ours and we have 7 or 8 Brandon lads in the First XI each week so what's the problem?

I've experienced the bad times and now I'm enjoying the better times because I know they won't last forever. As James once said "If I hadn't seen such riches I could live with being poor."

My gripe is with certain clubs who pay big money on Professional's when their ground and facilities are shit. Things like no electricity and running water for example. There's a lot of clubs round this way with that problem.

Both of yous wanna think yourselves lucky to be able to be in that position. Some clubs can't afford to pay pros OR improve facilities

It's about organisation and structure (and volunteers) when we had nowt we couldn't pay nowt but we put what we could into improving facilities. We have alway had a good junior set up (as have Evenwood John does a top job with the kids) it's a difficult balance you need good players at this level but it's also nice to have a decent set up.
