I've noticed this a lot in the last couple of years, orange balls too. Is there any reason for this as to me it's a load of extra expense (pads etc too) for something that looks shite.
 

There are a few T20 leagues which play mostly Fridays to get the crowd in coloured gear and DJ's etc are the norm.

Yeah there are a couple of clubs close to me who do that and to be fair they do get a few in. Means on some cup weekends the first teamers play Friday night/ Saturday/ Sunday mind:shock:

I grew up with pyjama cricket but still think there's something pleasing to the eye about the red ball and white clothing.
