I use to prefer the old pre 1985 Italian strips. They did'nt have sponsors and never changed the strip, just more or less exactly the same as the 50's versions they wore.

The Coventry away strip - Talbot were the sponsors.

Is it my imagination, but did Coventry have a strip that was similar, but the stripes were the shape of the 'T' for Talbot? Are there many examples where the actual strip design incorporates the sponsor?

Really liked the Southampton and Sheffield Wednesday shirts when they were sponsored by Sanderson for some reason. Thought the sponsor logo really matched the red and white & blue white stripes.
