It wasn't really a "loophole", it was clear and simple.

However, it has caused the increase in farmland value, which is now biting farmers on the arse.

Clarkson protesting about the inheritance tax increase, as if he is sticking up for farmers, is the definition of a disingenuous hypocrite.

He doesn't do fraud, there's a big difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. One means you can do a TV show on a farm, the other you end up behind bars.
 
I think it's funny and a great insight to how difficult farming is, if the government want to cut the cloth of the country accordingly then we need to be self sufficient as much as possible.

This current series is also highlighting the desperate state of pubs in the UK especially countryside ones.

That's why so many are going bust as (thankfully) the days of locals getting tanked up and driving home are long gone

However it does help if you have a celebrity owner.

Then get off the thread man you bore.

Watched the first 3 episodes of the new series. It's a great show, like him or loathe him he's highlighted issues farmers have to a much wider audience than countryfile ever has or would.
