Clarkson’s farm

The positive effect on your mental health you get from knocking around a farm is massively underrated.
Absolutely - also noticed they graft like mad . As I got older I also noticed they drink like bloody fish ! All that hard work makes you thirsty.
I laboured with them by day and drank with them by night - it was all rather wonderful. Lovely home grown grub and tons of it !!
Happy days mate.

My relatives had a farm in West Berkshire and as a kid I was dropped off there for a couple of weeks every summer.

Wonderful memories and idyllic summers made a change from industrial Preston!

The animals were really well looked after but were simply a profit source - any favourites or pets were not for the chop.

Great life lessons for a young lad from Lancashire.
Sounds like the rush song red barchetta
I see tax dodging clarkson doing his faux fagash fuhrer tribute act with the farmers
I know Jeremy but did you know purchasing an agricultural operation like this would shield you from iht that any normal business owner would have to pay
It’s not like farming has been in his family for generations

Dates now confirmed - first episodes released on 23/5/25 - 4 episodes.

Two more released on 30/5/25 and the final 2 on 6/6/25.

Jeremy pitched the farming idea to the BBC in 2008.

According to him they were obsessed about where the production office would be.

It never got commissioned.

And then jezza got sacked and Amazon picked up the rights.

Amazon struck gold with Clarkson’s farm.

Became Amazon’s biggest show even though they’ve spent north of half a billion on the lord of the rings stuff.

Realistically this show will continue as long as Clarkson chooses to. 4 is about to come out, 5 has been confirmed and rumours were at the time Amazon had signed up to 6 when they did 4 and 5.

Agreed it’s been a huge success for Clarkson and Amazon.

Turns out being dumped by the BBC was a huge success for Jezza

I remember seeing something not long ago I think it was someone who worked on top gear. Basically said Clarkson was just about a massive contract with the BBC and he had signed it, the punch likely wouldn’t have been a sackable offence, slap on the wrist and public apology and all good. But since he was out of contract they couldn’t have been seen to be rewarding him with more money.

As we saw with the Grand tour, the trio had a limited lifespan left. They were able to focus on the specials, get paid a shit load of money and likely got time than if they stayed at the bbc and just ran out of steam. Clarkson and May have had multiple series of their own stuff on Amazon as well.

Only person who seemed to do badly out of it was it created a much bigger paycheck for Hammond to hand over in the divorce

Clarkson is worth around £55 million.

I prefer Clarkson on his own without Hammond and May.

It’s been a triumph.

Not getting his contract renewed by the BBC has turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened to Jezza.

No doubt this series will be as good as the previous ones.
