Cirkin goodbye message

Hasn't let us down at all this season when he's played. I thought he would be a weak link but he wasn't. I'd have been happy to see him stay so I'm sad to see him go. There's just something about the championship team that will just stay with me forever. All the best bonny lad

A fantastic servant to the treatment table...

Luckily, the vast, vast majority on the forum respect the lad for what he's done for the club in his time here. Never let us down and an important part of the promotions.

That won't be overshadowed by those who prefer to make spiteful, cheap comments about a loyal servant and genuine bloke, who overcame his injuries to do his best for our club.

As all proper fans should and do, I wish him the best of luck for his future.

An excellent signing and on limited evidence this season more than capable of premier league football. I loved his fearlessness, both in terms of physical bravery and willingness to play attacking football. He was characteristic of the “ new Sunderland” as we began our recovery- young, dynamic, committed and of good character.
I wish him all the best in his future career.

His performance against Man City at home would suggest otherwise

He suprised me how comfortable he looked at the level in the minutes he played. He'd maybe need some work defensively but it's a shame we haven't been able to work something out. Though I guess fitness has been an issue with him for such a long time.

He's another who I will always remember fondly.
