Chris Wilder

Only question on the owners is why is he the right man now if he was the wrong man three months ago?

They can't afford to pay for 2 x ex-managers (Wilder and Selles) plus a new manager.

They'll have got Wilder back in as they'll have done a deal over the compensation he was getting and packed it all up with his "new" contract.

I guess it makes sense. Plus they can insist that the players he brought in last January are fit for purpose which they might struggle with if a new man came in.

However, the fact remains that three months ago, the owners felt he wasnt the man to take them forward.

From 2-0 down in the final to 5th in the PL vs 24th in the Champ is mental

Sliding doors.

I wonder if Jack Ross didn't shit himself vs Charlton and we took advantage of a goal headstart: would we be where we are, or would we have signed loads of shite mercenaries, been dumped back down to L1 with even higher wages, and not been an attractive proposition to KLD.

Yeah its weird to think about. Thankfully we got there in the end.

This isn’t true.
Some posters make things up.
Wilder was still getting paid and agreed to continue on exactly the same terms with a year extension.

He deserves every bit of misery that comes his way for the way he turned up dressed as a tramp for the play off final

RLB in his suit man - class and respect
