Chris Rushworth

Occupation hazard for a fast bowler, hope he recovers well and eager for next year.

But this year and I think it's probably due to a crappy ball, Rushworth hasn't finished the season as the top wicket-taker and not even the 2nd top behind both Potts and Raine.

Yeah, like he says, he’s had a good run of being injury free so we should be thankful he’s lasted this long.

Hopefully he can rest up, get healthy and work hard over the winter to come back next year and take an absolute hatful of wickets again.

Mate of mine knows him quite well from when he was living in stanley for a bit, he spoke to him a few weeks and said he was pretty much done playing, body kept breaking down, but pleased he's got a coaching roll and continue in cricket he's got a wealth of knowledge to pass on,

i was always surprised that franklin never played him in T20 stuff, you often need a bowler who's got the most control of the ball to bowl at the death

There was a sound argument for resting him during T20 but nowadays he could do an "Archer" and sit on a chair at 3rd man until required to bowl.

They didn't get on very well for starters

Franklin as we all know was stubborn in his ways

the story i was told that When Campbell came in he asked who swings the new white ball the most, and the lads said Rushy but youve missed him by a couple of months

Think part of the resentment towards Franklin was he felt he was robbed of the chance of a couple of franchise gigs by not playing him, he felt he had a lot to give in last couple of season at Durham in T20 stuff but he wouldnt play him.

Even just one or 2 gigs in a franchise could be a huge difference to your finances
