Think it’s cos he’s only 18 and still has time to potentially develop into a good player, but after his initial burst onto the scene and early appearances he hasn’t progressed like I thought he might, since the back heel last October his last goal was Boxing Day 24

Problem is with progression, it was a lot easier giving game time in the championship with a far lesser team than it is in the prem, when we are buying reasonable quality players especially in midfield so may well be his chances of shining become more limited with each passing window.
Suspect he will have even more competition next season for starting/ sub appearances

Yes it seems we have zero room for sentiment and if you’re not up to it , you don’t play, so he will have to step it up considerably

The club progression matters more than players feelings or sentiment over being home grown. Decisions should be made on making the club stronger year on year so its keep up and improve or fall away.

Yeah, UEFA have changed the format. Game against Poland is for 2007 born players. Game with Spain is for 2008 born.
