I think if we get promoted both will stay for another season. It’s all about promotion.

True. But what’s important here is to spend all of the next six months frantically worrying about them going and not to enjoy a single minute of them here.I think if we get promoted both will stay for another season. It’s all about promotion.
Too much frosty jacks. It happens. On a par with Jesus dead on the Friday woke up on the Sunday
...obviously.Depends if there are buy out clauses - if there are - and I would be surprised if there aren't and somebody matches it - there is nothing you can do to stop it.
Why didn’t they gan this seasonI think if we get promoted both will stay for another season. It’s all about promotion.
Why didn’t they gan this season
Plenty of interest if you the believe the press
You don’t know what is in their contracts, regarding release clauses etc. I’d be very surprised if both didn’t have those guarantees inserted. If a player wants to leave, especially where bigger clubs are concerned, they get their man if the player wants to go.Of course there is. Clarke pushed for a move beginning last season but we told him he had to stay and promised him he could go this summer if an acceptable bid came in. We won't be selling Jobe AND Rigg, no chance.
The flip side to that is he is training with better players and improves his game."Believe the press" the jurno's print lies or made up stories, the player's agents also plant made up stories.
We were going to get £30m for Jack Clarke, in the end it was £13m? plus extras of £5m?
Obviously players want premiership teams ( and wages), imho if Rigg left now for Chelsea say he would be farmed out somewhere (back to us, if not promoted) not necessarily 1st team football. His family might like the money ( and KLD) but for him not playing 1st team football could hurt his career
I can't see us allowing release clauses myself. I hope we start standing our ground more. We could of do e alot better in the sale of Jack Clarke imoYou don’t know what is in their contracts, regarding release clauses etc. I’d be very surprised if both didn’t have those guarantees inserted. Agents have got their heads screwed on these days. Any kind of young developing player, I’d be amazed if said clauses weren’t in their contracts. It wouldn’t be in their interests not to.I can't see us allowing release clauses myself. I hope we start standing our ground more. We could of do e alot better in the sale of Jack Clarke imo
Hopefully you will too! He'll be gone by August.
ThisThis board does nothing better than fantasying about players leaving. Enjoy him while we can and the season as a whole.
Rigg has been away / nearly died numerous times in the past 18 months
There is a subset of posters who seem to get off on the thought of it happening.. apart from mags who else who enjoy that prospectThis board does nothing better than fantasying about players leaving. Enjoy him while we can and the season as a whole.

Aye I. Sure sunderland fans are delighted at the prospect them goingThere is a subset of posters who seem to get off on the thought of it happening.. apart from mags who else who enjoy that prospect
What baffles me is that they fantasize about the money "we" should get for him. Weird shit on twitter like "£25m and we'll talk", "how much should we accept for Rigg?". As if they are going to see any of it or have any say in what they are sold for. Most seem to be under the misconception that it will all go back on transfer fees and we'll build this amazing squad with the money. Its no achievement selling your best player at the end of each season. The real trick is keeping your best players at the end of each season. There is a subset of posters who seem to get off on the thought of it happening.. apart from mags who else who enjoy that prospect
I bet you a hundred quid he’s notHe'll be gone by August.

I can't see for the life of me, a 16year old kid, signing his first ever professional contract...having a release clause in it. Not a chance. You don’t know what is in their contracts, regarding release clauses etc. I’d be very surprised if both didn’t have those guarantees inserted. That's the same argument when people slate our players and seem to get off on doing so. They seem to enjoy it, get off on it even but when this is pointed out to them you get that sort of reply.Aye I. Sure sunderland fans are delighted at the prospect them going
