Chris Hughton sacked by Ghana.

Alan Boozil gutted at Chrissy's sacking...nearly as bad as whenever "wee Davy" is under threat of being sacked

I don’t think there’s anyone outside of possibly Ghana dislikes him. Even when at the mags you knew there was a decent human being there with the right priorities in life and who had the games best interests at heart. I’d prefer him to MB but I wouldn’t regard him as an upgrade on Uncle Tone just more of the same. Which may be enough in our current position of being half way through a five yr plan.

This.^
A steady, reliable, strong and pricipled man to steer these lads in the same vein as Uncle Tony, but offering new ideas to them.

It really would be a serious upgrade on what we have now. And it fits our trend of not paying compensation.

Never happen though.

If you’d asked me before we’d hired Beale, I’d have been tempted to say: no. We can do better. There are young coaches out there, people like Will Still, we should roll the dice with.

Now, after I’ve seen the colour of Speakman’s ambition? I’d snap your f***ing hands off for Hughton.

Not many white managers amongst the African nations team I have noticed.
Possibly something that needs to be looked at going forward.
