Agreed mate. We've had it on here before. Bizarre.
To be fair that was the point is was trying to make in my post but the link didn't take you to the right page.

The are lots of clubs with good junior set ups and there is always a danger in when you big up your own age group that you are setting them up for a fall as happened when Sacriston played Washington.

At the end of the day the junior set up can only be viewed on two levels, how many of the juniors have enough about them to still be playing the sport at 40' at any level and most important of all are the kids enjoying the games

I don't know what your point is Carteron.
Who is putting pressure on the Under 15s? I wouldn't have thought many under 15s read this anyway and I just want to see these lads prosper and get as much out of cricket as what I have got over many years. Don't know who you are and I don't really care to be honest but I was just putting a point across. We can probably argue all day long over some of these points but I think over a forum probably isn't the place. I also believe the County coaches do a great job with the lads who are put forward by their clubs and their leagues through the pathway system.

You are pretty much agreeing with me here mate. I too think the junior coaches in the region do a superb job, and the majority of clubs serve their juniors very well.

I also agree that a forum isn't the place to discuss specific juniors and how they are doing. You say not many read this but I think you would be surprised at how technically savvy they are these days. All it takes is a bit of curiosity and entering their own name in to google and it would pop up!

I just think we should be letting kids be kids and not bothering over whether a team wins a league by a point, because the 2nd place team had 3 county players missing in a particular week. Who cares? They are playing good cricket and are undoubtedly going to make excellent senior cricketers so let them enjoy it while they can without the adults bickering about who has the best setup/coaches/players.
