Yes totaly right. Sacriston won 14 out of 14.

Chester also where undefeated but won one more game!!

To be honest we had them on the ropes at Sacriston before it started to rain!

Sacriston also have some excellent sides. Almost any league table you look at will see their teams from Under 11's to first team involved at the top of the table. I think the only level they werent so good at this year was Under 15s but they have some good Under13s moving up this winter.

The story of Chester le Streets season!!
TBF thats class. Helps when you know some of the people being talked about. Well done Steph, a reet canny lad.

So people thought Sacriston under 15 side were the weak link do they?
Hmmm. Me thinks these people will eat their words in the season to come in the new league set up.

They were 5th last year, 20 points off the top of their division. The worst performance by any of their junior teams. As for the new season, of course they will do better, because they have some good lads moving up from Under 13s. Swings and roundabouts marra as you well know. Why get your knickers in a twist about it?

Also what new league setup?

No knickers in a twist. If you look at their players, they lost a game against Whickham earlier in the season when their two best players were representing the County and were away for 2 days. yes they finished 5th but the odd point away from finishing third. Just a bit disappointed in the fact that you thought they were poor when 2 lads play for the County at Under 14 level, 2 lads at Under 13 level and a girl at Under 13 level. The new league set up is the fact that they are leaving the NTSCL and joining the new zonal league and have signed one or two new players also with County experience.

Personally think there is juniors in other teams equally as good as some of the juniors at Sacriston who are in the county squads

?

Know nothing about this - second point in bold. Is this at junior level? Whats the craic here then? Any links to whats going on?

As for Sacriston in general, it is well known that they are agood club. Lasses like Vanetia Bradley are fine players, lads like Daniel Stephenson and Nathan Hall are well known for being cracking prospects. I think youre reading too much into what was said by the Colonel above. Chill out man.[DOUBLEPOST=1388706887][/DOUBLEPOST]

Obviously not according to the Durham coaches and in fairness they have a canny record of producing players at the highest level so its a bit churlish to question them. The odd one might slip through the net but they clearly know what they are doing.

Well i don't know what this says about Washington under 15's. especially as they had players with the County when this game was played

Washington probably have the best young prospect in the northeast in Matthew Potts. Great player. Sacriston had to concede that game as there were no coaches or parents available. As for the better cricketers around than the county lads, the clubs need to put them forward.

Cracking player. Was in Dubai recently with the DCB Under 15's?

I think that the lad above from Sacriston is indicating, now I've thought about it, that Sacriston have left the NTSCL and joined the DCL Central Division and will therefore be playing clubs like Hetton Lyons, Washington, Durham City and Eppleton from next season in place of Kimblesworth who I believe have folded their junior section. Now that Sacriston have left I wonder what the future holds for the NTSCL Junior setup as there arent many clubs left now?

I'm intrigued to know who the two junior county players are who have joined Sacriston. There were rumours at the end of last season about who might be joining their junior setup.

I think I know who The Omega Man is then. haha.
Yes Matt is a quality player. My lad was in Dubai with you and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
You're right about the junior team situation and the two players I'm not naming yet. One was in the County squad at Under 13s but didn't make it last year. Think he will be back in this year and the other is a lot younger but a cracking player and in the County squad for his age group.
ps There were no 15 year olds in the Sacriston under 15 squad so last years team will be the same as last year with the two additions. Hopefully the team can compete in the new league.

Anyone else cringe at people bigging up under 15 teams and arguing over points lost or gained when there were a couple missing. It's local
Junior cricket ffs. Let them get on with enjoying themselves and stop putting so much pressure on them. Trust me, whether they play for sacriston or Washington, finish first or last, if they are any good they will progress in the game

I don't know what your point is Carteron.
Who is putting pressure on the Under 15s? I wouldn't have thought many under 15s read this anyway and I just want to see these lads prosper and get as much out of cricket as what I have got over many years. Don't know who you are and I don't really care to be honest but I was just putting a point across. We can probably argue all day long over some of these points but I think over a forum probably isn't the place. I also believe the County coaches do a great job with the lads who are put forward by their clubs and their leagues through the pathway system.
