Chelsea v Spurs

Difficult one to call, Spurs win or draw and thats them safe nothing to play for and they have Everton at home on Sunday who may be able to overtake us if we don’t beat Chelsea - we just beat Chelsea regardless of tonight’s results and all be good

Chelsea are rock bottom of the form table. Not won a game for donkeys, winning breeds confidence, so I would rather they kept on not winning. I hope Spurs smash them.

A Chelsea win means they could be in with a small chance of Champions League by beating us, or a decent chance of Europa League.

If they don't have Europe next season they can focus far more on the league, while they have a break from UEFA's FFP rules which helps their finances.

The correct answer from our perspective is a Spurs win as it kills Chelsea's CL and Europa hopes and leaves them with a small chance of Conference, which for them isn't a good thing regarding finances and all the extra games playing twice a week.

Anyone saying Chelsea to win, either doesn't want the mags to get into Europe, want Spurs to go down, are oblivious to Chelsea's European chances, or possibly all 3 of them.

Tough one tbf coz if they know they've got something on the line on Sunday with a win tonight it might make the game way more open for us to exploit

We win on Sunday (and we most certainly CAN) and we finish above Chelsea whatever they do tonight.

The more important games at the weekend (other than ours) is Liverpool v Brentford and Brighton v Man Utd.

It’s ironic as a year away from Europe for Chelsea is likely to trigger the reset that they need and give them the maximum CL chance the following year. Just look how well a poor United side have got on this season after playing their lowest ever amount of games in a season.

Whatever happens we will need to pay very well on Sunday to win. The United game pleasingly we played well but we’ve lost 4 of the last 6 at home, somewhere along the line our hike and away forms have switched places !
