Yup man city offering season ticket holders buy up to 3 extra.Ye southampton got 2400 more from Manchester city not selling theirs
Can’t say I’m surprised. We’d struggle to sell out if we were there as much as Man City. Only have to look at the Charlton play-off final the other year.Yup man city offering season ticket holders buy up to 3 extra.
We have further to travel than city. Also we were on a dreadful run of form going into that final where no one was expecting anything other than a defeat. Plus we had packed Wembley out a few weeks before that in the cup final which we lost. Can’t say I’m surprised. We’d struggle to sell out if we were there as much as Man City. Exactly what I’m saying. City are there every single season, sometimes two and three times. We have further to travel than city. Also we were on a dreadful run of form going into that final where no one was expecting anything other than a defeat. Plus we had packed Wembley out a few weeks before that in the cup final which we lost.
That said I do think if we were as successful as city then the novelty of Wembley for lesser games would deter a good few from going
I know but i was pointing out that its not comparable to us in league 1, with a very poor team, on a bad run, expected to get beat and having been to Wembley weeks earlier where we got beat.Exactly what I’m saying. City are there every single season, sometimes two and three times.
Chelsea are not a big club and never have been. Just got lucky with Abramovich.
Aye course they’re not.
They must be bored of the place. It just means their season ticket holders haven't taken them up. They will sell out.
Man City probably won't, but I can understand it the amount of times they go to Wembley.
ThisChelsea are not a big club and never have been. Just got lucky with Abramovich.
I think it’s extremely poor that a so called elite club cannot sell out at Wembley, especially as it’s on their doorstep.Aye course they’re not.
So are you accepting that Chelsea are in fact now an absolutely massive club?I think it’s extremely poor that a so called elite club cannot sell out at Wembley, especially as it’s on their doorstep.
Before Abramovich took over, West Ham were a bigger and more successful club than Chelsea.
Mate that was twice in a year and the first time in about 5 years. They have been I think it’s 31 times in 15 years and would have been 35 I think it was without Covid. Had this conversation before about city, you would have to pick your away games. We have further to travel than city. It was twice in the space of 6 weeks I think, in league one with a piss poor team that no one thought could win. Cant compare it to a team full of all stars that are favourites to win.Mate that was twice in a year and the first time in about 5 years. Have you just classed spurs and arsenal as elite clubs but Chelsea aren’t?No.
Like I said they were a small club before Abramovich took over and the fact they can’t sell out at Wembley proves they are not an elite club.
Would the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Man United struggle to sell out at Wembley? Of course they wouldn’t.
And this is there second visit in 4/5 weeks and will almost certainly have a third next month for a bigger game and are likely to be back again in august and that’s without the European trips this year, 2 games in Madrid etc. plus it’s 30 times in 15 years. That said City still take great numbers to wembley
