In my opinion it is, he hasn’t said the amount of fans yet just implied it’s sizable etc. recipe for disaster, just look at the scenes in the Port Vale - Stoke game. Genuine Stoke fans were leaving as they were disgusted by the conduct of their own fans.

Why ban away fans? If we played them in the league next season, God willing would you ban away fans.

It will have to be treat as any other derby game and policed accordingly. Hence the £15 cost

I was chuffed to bits we got Celtic down. I am also wise enough to avoid the trouble. Stop being a fanny.
So am I but that game evoked a lot of negative publicity and it was not enjoyable having a load of Celtic fans in the city. I don’t like the thought of those scrotes ripping seats up and the like.

Here comes the kicking off because people are kicking off at Stewart on twitter. He can handle himself so just relax

It’s a totally different scenario. It’s not their first team playing, they caused trouble last time their U23’s played at the SOL, it’s a midweek game, games like this have a tendency to attract troublemakers .... it’s a fallacy to compare it to a league game next season for example.

No.

Its a f***ing awful draw for us. Win and its nee great deal. We're expected to. Lose and it'll be f***ing torture. That along with the competition being a complete farce and devalued by having these U21 sides in it makes it massively unappealing to me

Snap!

Jack Ross has already said on record he doesn’t want to play the game vs Newcastle. I think the treatment of the cups by Ross is disgraceful, dumped out at home 3 times is more than I can stand.
That's not giving much context to what he said. Do you want to add to that very very blinkered view to what he said?

My guess was the police presence was next to nothing. This time if we expect a crowd of 15k to 20k then it will be policed.

So again you're saying we should have banned all away fans and by doing so do you really think that would have stopped the idiots coming over?

£15 is a lot of money when the other games are £3 and it's a crap price to watch the u21 games.

The other side of the argument is that the club could cover the costs of the policing rather than relying on the fans to the cover costs.

I think we should have banned away fans yes. It’s not even their first team. If the roles were reversed do you genuinely think we would be allowed to take thousands to the landfill ?

£15 is what you pay to watch conference football these days. It’s fuck all in the grand scheme of things.

This is a game against a reserve team where tickets are nowhere near as expensive. In fact you can get in for free to watch our reserves (that were in a higher league than Newcastles team till last year) with your season card at Hetton.

Yes I do. Also, by banning them it still won't stop anyone coming through and causing problems. Least this way they can be policed and hopefully kept in control.

Shouldn't be anything over 10 quid imo like but he's set the prices It's a big jump from 3-15 but I'd imagine we'd be expecting a fairly bigger crowd than 8k this time around
