His behaviour. I’m not sure why “not a convicted criminal” is the very low bar we’re setting in terms of the type of people we want at our club.

It’s true to say his conviction was overturned on appeal, but it’s equally true that in the course of doing so some really unsavoury behaviour was revealed.

He travelled to a hotel having been made aware by his mate that he had a girl there. Said girl had been picked up in a kebab shop where CCTV showed her unable to stay on her feet, pissed. Having then had sex with her, he was so comfortable with what he’d done that rather than leave the hotel through the main entrance, he left via a fire exit instead.

None of that renders him “guilty” to the criminal standard. It does, however, make him the sort of person that I want nowhere near a SAFC shirt. We have one of the highest % of female ST holders in English football, including lots of young girls. Being in a situation where if he scored and you have young girls cheering him would make me feel very uncomfortable.

Percentage of girls in the ground doesn't make a difference to any argument regarding this. No one should make a decision on whether they are morally fit to play for the club based on who comprises our fan base. They are either are fit or not, it's not like men can handle such a person and poor woman can't.

But on your point, I would say whilst none of us were there, fair enough... it isn't good and that is a sound reason for not wanting him there.

I would however question how far down the line we go if our transfer policy was to be depicted by acts like that. I mean the Oxford player caught exposing himself in public the other week, innocent passers by saw that, children may have seen it if they were walking by. Would you kick him out of the club aswell? What about if a footballer cheats on their spouse and leaves her and the kids whilst he lives it up in his swanky, is that not a horrible thing to do aswell? What about shooting an intern with an air rifle as iirc ashley cole did at chelsea? Would you not have him?

Seriously how far do you want to go with what is acceptable and questionable in the work place? And how many things should the club be asking about in future?

Morality exists in decent fans though. My opinion is personal and I would rather have no striker than Ched Evan's or any other player who is known for despicable behaviour...legal or otherwise

He had sex with an unconscious girl then made a hasty escape via the hotel fire escape.

You're right, that's not despicable behaviour one bit.

A true prince amongst men is our Ched.
 
Just shows how decided opinions are on this, nobody mentioning whether he good enough to play for us just his off field exploits.

For that reason alone I'm out, it's not helped with the recent news regarding the physio and young boys as well.

I didn’t know all this. I would have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt based on his conviction being quashed.

However, you make an excellent case for him being a grubby little turd. We don’t need that anywhere near our club.
