Saw him, supporting Status Quo, this year and thought they were excellent.

I always thought they were better writers, and more authentic, than pro-Cockneys like Squeeze, etc.

Seemed like a decent humble bloke.


Just seen someone who has done hundreds of celebrity/music interviews say that he was probably the humblest, most considerate, kindest people he'd interviewed. Hell of an epitaph.
 
Saw em at The Albert Hall a few months back. Not my sort of thing tbh but RIP all the same. They came across as being good blokes which is probably more important.

This was on my "riding my bike to work" minidisk when I lived in London...

The arena in 2014?

If so I was there too and it was superb, both bands were great.
