There was one arsehole on Olympic way after the game chanting fuck off Sunderland. He got pinged around like a pinball until the met intervened. Other than that one individual I completely agree, had some good crack with them before the game.
 

Sat with a group of Charlton fans in the pub after near Baker Street. They were absolutely sound and laughing at how pissed we all were, said they couldn't imagine what sort of state we would get in if we had won! They bought us a round of beers in and wished us well when they left. Always struck me as a good bunch, and yesterday confirmed that.
 
They are not supporters. 30,000 day trippers is why they are “nice”. Most of them have no interest 99% of the time. They are despised by all London clubs as a set middle class two bob tories with no passion whatsoever. They are just innocuous is all. Football supporters they are not.

You have a real irrational hatred of all things Charlton mate, whilst the majority on here find us good fans , like we find yours .
Fact . We are not despised any London club except Millwall , and you will understand that as you have the Mags
We are football supporters, and have a decent fan base , albeit a lot smaller than yours at the moment .
And as for middle class two bob tories wtf is that all about haha .

No that’s true, it’s not , but I enjoy this forum . Lots of good blokes and friendly posters on here who are happy to discuss things in a rational way . The sort of fans you would buy a drink for if you met them in a pub , and have a good chat about all things football .

Oh well, all clubs have a few of the other sort, and now that the final is over , probably no need to post anymore. That will make our good friend splorty happy haha .

Never had any problems with Charlton fans, either in 98 or yesterday. Walked to Wembley Central after game and plenty from both sides mingling together without a hint of trouble. It's how it should be. It's a game of football for fuck's sake. I think if we'd won we would have been much more vocal about it and that would be simply down to relief at putting the shite run of Wembley games to bed. Ah well, maybe next time! :)

Look marra, like in life, there's always gonna be the odd person trying to wind folk up.
I Iove folk from other clubs posting on here, but you'll always get the odd mackem on here telling you to fuck off or wind you up. The best bet is just to ignore them and have a craic with the majority that want a craic with you.

Harmless until an older fella intervened and pushed one of them in the side of the head as he walked past. Older fella's mates piled in and started swinging punches. It all calmed down temporarily until the older fella pushed someone else before stopping to clarify that he was battling with Charlton and not Sunderland. Charlton stood their ground like.
