Striker
Looking forward to see how we go against him.

I know some say he is selfish but he is a class act for me, always enjoy watching him go about his game.

some canny knocks against Aussies recently . . likely to be the only resistence for our bowlers in this series

Quality player. Got away with a couple but another tremendous effort whilst everyone failed around him.

Croft made a good point as to why he shouldnt be batting higher as it would mean the rest would be exposed sooner rather than later if he was to go early.

however he is terrible at batting with the lower order, has no desire to protect the man at the non striker and generally doesnt seem to give a toss whether the team gets 200 or 500 as long as he scores the bulk of them

quality at playing the ball but very little team concept.

involved in 23 run outs, only been run out twice, says alot anarl

Just wish that Durham had his services when the current West Indies tour ends, one thing for certain, we would not be staring relegation in the face.

ANOTHER great innings from the lad. Fantastic test match batsman.

Glad he's finally gone though

Says he knows he is much much better than the rest and knows once he is gone so is the test match. He is the glue of the innings time and time again.

Unbelievable that Atherton and Nasser whinge on about T20 and how it has polluted the game, along comes a proper test match batsman in Shiv and they slag him off.

Fecking incredible.

I don't mind him hanging around for hours when his team needs it, but for most of his innings today he wasn't even trying to score. Most of his runs seemed to come from defensive shots that went nowhere near a fielder.

Of course I'd love to see him playing exactly like that for Durham.
