You had Duckett before the tournament the 3-0 in India does not matter when we win this they are delusional massive problems.

Sick if the excuses why are we incapable of being good and test and white ball cricket at the same time it’s beyond joke.
 
Remember when everyone lost their mind at leaving Brook out of the World Cup squad. Funny looking at that now, I was of the view of it being the right call to pick Stokes ahead of him.

Yet Roy who had played more than any batsman for England between 2019 and 2023 World Cup was just completely discarded and nobody seems to give a fuck. Even when he scored two centuries earlier that year.

I think the strategy replacing Roy, Bairstow,Malan, Willey, Woakes and Topley with largely inferior players has proven to be a bad mistake.

Then we get on to not even picking players like Hain and Gregory who performed in an England shirt.

I get their is some argument about forward planning but when the people in the side are learning absolutely nothing.

Starting to have doubts about Brook too. All the talent like you say, but zero application. Bar Root, nobody on this team can be bothered to build an innings.
 
Just caught up with this 😂

I did say the batting was shite bar Duckett and Root. They've been getting a couple hundred runs between them each game. If they only score about 60 we're screwed.

Good idea to bowl no spin until the 16th over in the sub continent when 2 of the quicks are doing fuck all...

Honestly we're a complete shambles.

Also regarding Smith. He was going to be injured for at least 2 ODI games of a 3 game series. He ended missing all the warm up games. He should have been sent home and replaced.

Instead he sat on his arse for 3 weeks and then when he was finally fit but with no warm ups he's scored 14 runs in 3 games :oops: :rolleyes:
