Champions league draw

It would be seen as a horrendous group for any of the other 3 English clubs but it's a great one for the Mags who are only really there to make up the numbers.

Imagine this place if it was us. The excitement. Those 3 teams coming to Sunderland and everyone planning their travel arrangements over to Milan, Paris and Dortmund! I'd kill for anything remotely similar to happen to us even just once in my lifetime but it's looking as far away as ever right now.
It’s also a bad draw for the other 3 teams fkr whom it’s all about progression. It’s actually Newcastle that have made it the so called group of death - something they will revel in and enjoy. Fair play to them, they’ll have a great time watching those games and I don’t necessarily think they’ll finish bottom or even fail to qualify.

It’s a tough draw but not impossible. The mags could beat all of them at home. AC Milan aren’t great and Dortmund can’t defend.

Very true. I'd imagine they would have been the pot 4 team everyone would have wanted them to avoid.

If they're lucky, they'll squeak into the Europa, but even that's alons shot. I was watching the draw in a pub in Newcastle and biting my lip to stop laughing.
It's not a long shot mate. They're 2nd favourites for the group. It's the one group I'll be leaving alone. Never back against the mags personally.

Going to be some interesting travel logistics since there aren't any direct flights to Milan or Dortmund/Dusseldorf from NCL.

Maybe one of the benefits to the region will be more European cities served from Newcastle Ponteland, especially once they get knocked down to the UEFA league.

not against dortmund they wont

Or Milan. Mags flags will look shite compared to theirs.

Ryanair fly Newcastle to Milan and Eurowings fly Newcastle to Dusseldorf. Air France Newcastle to Paris.

Celtic got an interesting group, some tasty away days and they'd have a chance if Ange was still there not David Brent.

I've got my finger on the buzzer once the dates get announced to add 9 seats to my basket, on 3 browsers. Should bump the prices up, they won't mind though. Richest club in the world.

Makes no difference. Until the seat is sold and a reservation number automatically generated the price won't change.
