Ceramic or Induction hob

Riveting conversation for Saturday night.

What do people recommend? And why?

Got no gas in the kitchen so it's between the two.

Induction all the way. We got one when we had a bairn as the hob doesn't get hot.
That’s not quite true and it might seem pedantic but it’s worth pointing out so someone doesn’t burn themselves. If you turn an induction hob on and put nowt on it it won’t get hot but if you put a pan on it the hob will be f***ing hot when you take the pan off and they don’t cool instantly.

Saturday night, about to watch MOTD and I'm chuffed this question has been asked as we're getting a new kitchen fitted. Always been a gas fan but it sounds like induction is the way forward.

Not cooked on induction. Utterly regret ceramic instead of gas (being down to one working ring on the previous hob was the influencer). Splash a drop on the ceramic hob and it starts bleeping and turns off and the flame of gas can get right around a wok.
