CC : Worcestershire v Durham

Don't think the bowling back up will be good for enough
I think this is probably understating it a bit. Where we finish up is comparative to other teams too and how many have a four pacers as good as Durham? And young'uns wait in the wings for their chance too.

But there are always the unknowns that we can't account for - who gets called up? who gets injured? who hits a period of sparking form? who hasn't hit their best form yet? All these apply to all teams in the division. Our whole team looks top class and imho it's far too early in the season for doom and gloom.
I'm in the wait, watch and see mode at present.

I hope not, lead is currently 379 and I’d want atleast another 50 or so in the morning. The pitch played very serenely this afternoon, the two wickets we lost early were through poor shots as opposed to swing/seam movement.

A fantastic day for us that though. Worcestershire can’t win this game now through conventional means, but the forecast rain for Monday will probably hasten a declaration. The concern is we’ll be too charitable, but there’s no reason we can’t smash the ball around for ten overs in the morning, taking that lead beyond 450 and then that would leave us a nice 20 over session before lunch with the new ball.
Robinson and Clark still in isn't it? Perfect pair really to smash it round for 10-20 overs potential getting a massive lead and still plenty of time to bowl at them (watch us be all out in about 15 minutes now)

Marty mentioning Derek Forster the 15 year old SAFC keeper from the 60s - doubt many will have had that on the bingo.
Gutted we ain't got him for our home games on the streams.

Part of the fun is his off topic conversations.

4 50s in a row for Durham and 5 in a row in FC cricket.

What a player we have. England can select Bairstow this summer please and thanks.

Thinking about it I think a key player will be Parkinson and it's not often you hear that said about spin bowlers. If he can bowl and do as well as last season's spinners did it will make a big difference.

With all due respect, i wish we could have kept the twin. Hopefully callum can stick those words down my throat quickly
