CC :: Worcestershire v Durham

Ha’way the lads!!!

Genuinely have no idea, I'll see him at the ground next week.

Wished him well the other day after his accident as well.

Obviously got a chip on his shoulder about something.

You must’ve said or done summit to annoy him marra

He’s usually pretty level headed, I should know with some of the shite I’ve emailed him in the past and he’s always responded in a fairly balanced way.

Haven't a clue, I'll call him out next week about it. He's usually walking about on his own during the breaks.

Sounds menacing

Durham 4-0 after an over, Leach had a big lbw shout against Lees which was turned down. It easily pitched outside leg, but I was worried with the manner of the appeal that the umpire would relent . Lees has been victim to a few absolute shockers in the last couple of years.

Worcestershire have a 21 year old left arm debutant (Ben Gibbon) sharing the new ball here. Interesting phase of play.

I know we haven't hit our straps yet, but that is a redonkulous line up for Div 2 of the CC, and our next England seamer hasn't bowled a bowl yet.

I stick by what I said at the start of the season - if everyone is available and fit, we have a seam attack that would be the envy of many Test nations.

Btw what a motivation for young Durham local lads coming into the team with the England captain in your side

I love it

55-1.

Lees bowled, think he played on to a delivery slanted across him from Barnard.

Was just about to say we’d made a solid start, not without alarm though. The pitch looks quite sporting from what I’ve seen, good bounce, there’s movement for the bowlers off the pitch and through the air and they’ve bowled some pretty good lines so far.

Big 50 minutes or so coming up to lunch I reckon.

I fear we might have gone to the well for the last time with Rushy mind. I know he's had slow starts to seasons before but I wonder if there's a little less zip from last year. Hopefully just a rhythm thing.

Another 50+ opening stand, can't grumble with that.

Marty saying there that they’ve just been joined by BBC 5Live Sports Xtra - mad what having the England captain in your side can do to your reputation

This Ed Barnard looks a real player mind. Very nice looking bowler, causing us problems, has beat the bat of both batsmen a couple of times already since taking the wicket of Lees.

I’m still backing borthwick personally

How long do you give him to turn his batting form around?

I 'back him' to lead the white ball teams. Did a great job in those formats last year. Red ball form needs urgent attention and seconds are a better place for that.

Ridiculous that these discussions always get boiled down into emotional fanboi debates about why you hate my best mate. I personally think SB is one of the nicest guys in cricket, always comes across well. He's also from round the corner from me in sr3. But even he must be concerned about his form for the last 2 years. Watch, if he is dropped, him come out and say it was fair do's and then works hard to sort it out.
