CC :: Worcestershire v Durham

Bedders averaging 72 in the CC having another fantastic season, is 4th in team. :lol:

Disappointing final day, obviously, but we're not the only ones struggling to take wickets.

Durham, highly fancied at the start of the season but still seeking their first win, only took two Leicestershire wickets last month on a final day at Chester-le-Street. It can't get any worse than that, they consoled themselves as they headed, bodies aching, to their cars. Oh, yes, it could. One hopes for their sake that the wicketless final day is not still to come.
VoFP has been bemoaning captains being far too conservative in going for wins, settling for a draw far too early, etc. And he has a point. But, some can be put at the door of the EBC in the number of points awarded for the draw. Captains will surely try to maximise the points gained, so to deincentivise a draw and reduce the points awarded must help.

Wonder when we'll see Carse and Wood available for selection?
