CC : Somerset v Durham

Now we’re fucked.

They’ve used four spinners already

Is this really what Knob Key wants? Pitches like this are preparing us for international cricket?

In our last 14 tests in India we've won 2 drawn 1 and lost 11. In Australia we've lost 13 and drew 2 from our last 15.

So yeah I'd say so, seeing as the point is to get younger players to develop skills that would improve us in mainly India/Australia in the future.

I.e. batsman cashing in on flat pitches against the Kookaburra and then learning how to bat when it spins at both ends. Spinners getting their chance at all.

The problem is it completely devalues the competition element of the competition, you either use the Kookaburra for every game or none.

The experiment has worked it some games. But if it ruins the CC then it's f***ing stupid.

Shame we couldn't get Nathan Sowter signed up for the game when it was always going to be a turning pitch, especially if he was down there with the team

Umpire had his finger up straight away. It did look close though

On replay it looks as though he’d easily made his ground 🤷‍♂️

Would’ve been a better addition than Drissell, but clearly the fact we’re a batsman light is the bigger issue.

6 . 6 from Ben Raine, the second of which goes out the ground - gan on Ben, if you lose all their balls they can’t win :D

Makes me wonder, when Drissell bowled so few overs anyway, surely Scott can be in as 2nd choice spinner, and play an extra batter
