My only concern mate is I think we have been head and shoulders best team this season and we are a win and draw ahead. Think we would of had another win v Glamorgan and today if we could of bowled the seamers. Some absolutely morons posting on social media having a go at the team. Unbelievable morons, piss off. 36 points clear!!!! Brilliant
Agree. Massive positive is we continue to extend our lead. Very happyA little disappointing we couldn't quite finish the job for the second game running however the next best thing is a maximum points draw and we've achieved that against Glamorgan and Leics with a depleted bowling attack.
I reckon it's between us, Sussex and Glamorgan now and even then, while both of them are difficult to beat , they aren't necessarily good enough to win many either.

I've seen some comments aimed at negative captaincy as well. Just outright ridiculous, these morons are nowhere to be seen when we are winning. We have absolutely no reason to go daft/risky at the moment when we're top of the table. It's clear the club realise that and are approaching things sensibly as we move into the final part of the season. We are top of the table ahead by 36 points for a reason, we don't always have to "win at all costs". We were very sensible today. It seems the team can't win with some people (many I know don't even go to games... That isn't aimed at you by the way), which is a shame really as we are a very good side to watch and the team morale/togetherness is great to see.For batting too long i assume?
it is weird like, since it goes against everything we've quite vocally championed as our mentality and mindset.
it is what it is, it was the wrong decision but most confusingly it goes against what we claim is our new vision. i'm quite happy to live by the sword and die by the sword, or to be more cautious and pragmatic, it's just strange to me to say one thing and do another.
either way, we played very well, deserved the win and drawing a game in the circumstances we did carries nee shame at all.

That trap he set for Patel was absolute genius today mind but I guess the negative trolls over on social media will only look at the declaration and slate the team/captaincy which is hideous. We played really well over 4 days, the bigger picture is we extended our lead, we didn't lose, many positive performances, and it's a game chalked off despite missing some key players we've come out of it very well indeed. I've said numerous times this year the body language and togetherness of this side is unbelievable. Been away I got to see it a bit more close up and even the Leicester fans and stewards were commenting on it which is always a good sign. Trust the process and this team will deliver. We didnt bat too long. People can keep saying it, doesnt mean they are correct.
men around the bat and catches in at all times. we played class.
Watch todays game. Lees is telling him what to do a lot of the timeWhat makes you say it isn’t? Have you been watching all the games? Can you point us to any incidents which would support your position?
Just asking.
It’s worrying you all think a bowler with 400 first class wickets wouldn’t set his own fieldAs I posted above, a very well planned trap. Worked a treat and the players celebrated knowing fine well it was very good captaincy
I was at the game, I know what I saw and I know what reaction I saw from the players when Patel was outIt’s worrying you all think a bowler with 400 first class wickets wouldn’t set his own field
He wasn't today. Lees was stood about 10 yards in front of me today fielding most of the time.Watch todays game. Lees is telling him what to do a lot of the time

Leave Britney alone.
The declaration and our bowling selection were the only things worth discussing in an otherwise solid performance. You should be able to discuss them without people having a tantrum about it.
Actually another one was how well SB bowled at the end. Has he been getting tips from Parkinson?
Was mentioned above. Sussex drew against Glamorgan but dropped batting and bowling points. I think the other match situations were a factor in opting for the 'safe' declaration.Nobody mentioned the fact we have extended our lead
You don't go to watch Sunderland and still commentI have no issues with folk expressing their opinion but these very same people only appear on the clubs social media when we don't win and I know some of them never attend games.
Not a peep when we're winning, I'll keep calling that out as quite frankly it's embarrassing, pathetic and not justified towards the players. Nobody mentioned the fact we have extended our lead, clearly doesn't suit their narrative.
Yes, the wife commented on how well Borthwick bowled.

I meant on the social media pages. If people want to criticise that's entirely up to them but I'd expect the same people to offer praise when it's due and this lot deserve a lot of praise... Sadly that doesn't happen which I find absolutely ridiculous. Was mentioned above. Sussex drew against Glamorgan but dropped batting and bowling points. thats just life in general, far more likely to speak up if something is wrong,I have no issues with folk expressing their opinion but these very same people only appear on the clubs social media when we don't win and I know some of them never attend games.

They're like flies round shite when Durham don't win. Absolutely silent when we are winning. After the shite we've been through in recent times you would expect people to be happy, it's rather strange. Hey ho though, hopefully they get their arses to a game and appreciate just how good and hard working this side is.thats just life in general, far more likely to speak up if something is wrong,
