So, there are 32 overs left in the day. Will the plan be to bat for 20 of them, adding another 100 or so, declare and have 10 overs at Leics tonight?

Not that their charming supporters would ever say otherwise mind.![]()
"Are you Franklin in disguise"For me just bat the day out. Don't give them a sniff. We have outscored them on bonus points, just be sensible

That knacker would declare at 3pm tomorrow"Are you Franklin in disguise"
Need a lead of least 350 this is a featherbed of a pitch, with a short Boundary a kookabura ball
Weaker than normal bowling attack relying on Potts magic the run rate for the match is over 4.
I just think anything around 350 turns Leicestershire into favourites from a game that we are currently in full control of. The way the table is a draw with us taking more bonus points keeps the gap we have with one less game for teams to make that up.
Not much urgency at present.
If we declare with 10 overs remaining tonight (12 really with the change of innings), then we set them a run chase at 3.1 per over. Its clear how good the track is, we are 214-2 going at 4.67. We would be mad to offer them that.Lead is over 300, 18 overs remaining today.
If the plan really is to declare on overs remaining I’d expect a few overs of carnage prior to that point. So considering the current lead and state of play we’ll be well over 350.
