CC : Leicestershire v Durham

I think they'll be wanting him in and around the side for a home test match, with a view to him playing later in the series as Ali is finished.

That’s why but Ali will play in the next test in my opinion
How can people complain our attack is samey then want Potts to play ahead of tongue

Aye that’s why he’s picked, no other reason, Potts has a big future for England and they rate him extremely highly.

I think he will take the new ball with Robinson for many years when the 2 legends go

I’d have been tempted to drop one of the main 3 for him mind we we lacked energy on day 5

As suggested above, 61 overs left in the day, so if we bat 50 of them at 5 an over we’ll set them 345 ish. That would mean 9 overs tonight to get early wickets, then 96 tomorrow at the mercy of the weather.

Personally I’d want more, but this ‘BadgeBall’
I think we need a bigger lead than that. a 500 target was chased down last round of games.

We are going at 9 an over mind so far

Yorkshire punishment/ fine is far too lenient
The points deduction is a complete and utter farce in respect of this season
It should apply to 2024
They are getting away with everything

most of the allegations weren’t even proven like. They needed to be tested in court not with a CDC panel who didn’t even interview witnesses, on both side.

I don’t like Michael Vaughan at all, but literally all he had to do was hire some half competent lawyers and they soon found out the ecb had done absolutely no investigating into the allegations against him, even basic stuff

Durham got into financial difficulty by developing a ground they were told to develop by the ECB, bidding for test matches they were told to bid for and whilst other counties were in equal difficulty from the ridiculous bidding process, we suffered the most and were subsequently hammered by the ECB with sanctions that will live long in the memory. Yes we made mistakes but in comparison to racist issues any sanctions Yorkshire recieve cannot in any way be less than those Durham recieved and many would argue they should be greater. Given their current position in league two any points deduction should surely be applied to next season and we will never know if they would have been relegated if in division one ... as we were and years later are still trying to put right.

Unfortunately in the eyes of some this post will be disrespectful because it does not bring me any joy of satisfaction but that contribution by Borthwick is again very poor and fits well in with his form in the last two months
