CC : Gloucestershire v Durham

If you want to see our new coach practicing what he preaches have a look on YouTube when he made 146 for WA against England on 1998 ashes tour.
Opens the batting with Langer and smashes Gough Fraser Cork and Mullally all over Perth.

Mullally now there was a love hate type player when he was with England

He could have been more handy now as he was left arm over , wasn’t he ?

If not then it’s someone else I must be thinking off

And yes I’m definitely going a bit senile with memory loss all the time but don’t worry . I’m fine with it

They shouldn't be pulling them out of games but they did give them games in four day stuff maybe they weren't good enough, seems to be better this season with a better mindset and the bowling being more established players.
Gibson/Macalindon/Killeen will be eyeing up Potts going away with England.

I once had a morning at Darlington when Melvin Betts knew a mate of mine and got us tickets

Not much was happening , we went to lunch got back 30 mins late and Leicester had bowled Durham out

Was a scorching day anarl , must have been around 1999 ish

1998. Similar to the infamous match at the Riverside two years earlier and the oft repeated tale of the journalist Tim Rich who, with half an hour to go to lunch and Durham one wicket down, decided to pop into CLS and collect his suit from the dry cleaners. He returned half an hour later to find Durham all out.

Bloody hell . I worked with a lad called Ray Peel who played a bit second team iirc for Chester le street and his brother played as well

They knew Melvin Betts

He was a canny lad peely . His sister was manager of the cinema in the metro centre for a while and he got tickets for that as well

I was a bit gutted he moved to Chester but he was a horse race fanatic and wanted a job down there for the races

celsius or fahrenheit?

canny hot either way tbf.
 I do know I ended up on the train from Darlington and woke up in Newcastle central station

No idea as I had a ticket to Chester le street. The next thing I remember is walking down the Main Street in Chester le street

I got home in a taxi and collapsed on the sitting room floor where the Mrs and daughter stayed up to watch me all night in case I snuffed it

There is a witness to this who posts on the board . He suffered as well

Used to love the games at Darlo. Taylor's pies, that great chippy just outside the ground, a cheeky look around the football ground during the lunch break and Jesus and his disciples holding court in the seats next to the pavilion.

You could argue that more youngsters played last season with the likes of Gibson and mcalindon and drissel in other comps

Yeah, more injuries in the CC then, I think in 50 over we can expect to see them

I dont agree or understand the signing of Glover mind, we dont need him, just blocking progess of others.
