Although you can't fault him with the ball, surely I'm not the only one who expected much more batting against this attack from Stokes. Not getting into double figures either innings is really poor

As I alluded to in the OP, he’s done very little with the bat for us in a long long time*.

*I’m not counting laugh and giggle cricket.

Chris Dent, James Bracey, Noema Barnett and Ryan Higgins would walk into our team.

Not for me they wouldn’t.

Very poor getting turned over by them with Wood and Stokes playing
Well, Wood wasn't really. That was part of the problem, you've got to think we'd be chasing less than we were if he'd taken part in the second innings and we made a good 4th innings score, it was just too much.

According to Marty Wood was having difficulty running between wickets too.

We will just say its Lewis and be done with it ;)
Ha. My point still remains with him. League table doesn't lie. T20 is now even more important as the county championship is embarrassing for us

Because would was struggling to run and rushy never usually lasts long Durham lose the anti Lewis agenda rolls on
Rightly so it's an embarrassment. Get a runner out to do the job. League table doesn't lie. Dress it up whatever way you like, but it's a results business and we have 68 points from 8 games which is pitiful and embarrassing.

The team isn't good enough I notice you only mention him when we lose something you used to say I did with Pringle

It would be nice to see us win, 2 wins I think this season is absolutely pitiful. I praised the players after the Derbyshire win and some of those players haven't been seen since... Ironically we haven't won since either. Poor all round

Which are we missing more Borthwick or Onions?

Borthwick I reckon.

A coach

you mean players that came in for a club legend and didn't contribute

Players who were part of a winning team. Winning breeds confidence and judging by how the 2nd XI are doing, they should be staking a claim for more chances in the 1st XI.

It's irrelevant you mentioning "club legend" also, he hasn't played well. Nobody should be an automatic choice in that side especially a side which is failing miserably. Collingwood for example 5 matches, 9 innings, 103 runs, highest 44, average 11.44, why should that warrant an automatic selection??. When does it come to a time, when you say "Let's give young Jones more game time" or "Let's give Coughlin more game time", "Let's give Cameron Steel the captaincy a look to the future". Will Smith 7 matches, 13 innings, 299 runs, highest 90, average 23, 2x 50s. Not really good enough is it? Poynter 5 matches, 9 innings, 310 runs, highest 170, 34.44 average, 1x 50, 1x 100, his 170 was superb and has made his stats much better, but he is solid enough with consistency? It's either him or Richardson for me. Clark, 7 matches, 13 innings, 373 runs, highest 64, average 28.69, 2x 50s. Steel 6 matches, 11 innings, 280 runs, highest 86, average 25.45, 3x 50s, got to start and push on and hopefully more chances to do so. Harte 4 matches, 8 innings, 227 runs, highest 114, 1x 100, average 28.37, massive potential in my opinion, hopefully gets more game time. Richardson 4 matches, 7 innings, 201 runs, highest 115, average 28.71, 1x 100

The league table doesn't lie, the results don't lie and our form doesn't lie. The season is becoming a bit of a write off, when is it time to give the younger lads like Jones/Davies/Coughlin for example more red ball game time?

So in football If spurs played lorente won then Harry kame returned to fitness you wouldn't play him yes Durham won but colly came in the game after and contributed more than the player he replaced in a losing effort your view is very simplistic.

How is providing full season stats 'simplistic"?
