CC :: Glamorgan v Durham

GERRIN!

Cooke c Trevaskis b Coughlin 59.

Fantastic diving catch down at third man from a flying edge.

229-9.

Brilliant fightback from our lads this morning!
Don't ask questions you don't want answered 😂
I wanted it answered, one of my favourite subjects is talking about bait

Things you never thought you'd hear at the cricket:

Durham have an okish bowling attack but they're a strong batting line up

We'd get on famously
The worst of the clouds are passing and it's not got bad enough to come off so might not be any bad showers during lunch as feared.

All out 234

It’s a very interesting point, personally I’m excited about the bowling attack - especially to see the progress of the young lads like Potts and Carse (and hopefully Gibson) - but that is the area that worries me more than the other coming into the season.

Must be about the first time in 25 years we’ve had a stronger batting lineup than a bowling lineup. On paper atleast.

Is the batting that strong

Really? Covers were being put on when I left at 12.55 so thought I'd risk leaving the ground

Aye. 1 over, lunch at 13:10 today - they’re making up an extra 30 minutes across today and tomorrow in an effort to recoup the lost time from yesterday.
Just been out for an hour.

1. That's some collapse, good bowling or thrown away?
2. Passed me by completely that they had Wheels.

Good bowling mainly, some batsmen will want their shots back - but it was more just a case of momentum being difficult to stop once the wickets started.

Last 5 wickets were lost for 20 runs, last 6 for 54.

Durham 5-0 at Lunch, 229 behind.

I can understand to outsiders there isn't a fear factor to Matty Potts like there was someone like onions. Coughlin hasnt pulled up trees since returning and carse is out. So outside of the ever dependable rushy it's only really Raine, reliable more than devastating.

Lees, borthwick, bedingham gives us more star power with bat than ball certainly

Good of them to announce that. Really not been impressed at all here, other than a very friendly young lass (wo)manning a coffee stand it's been an utterly poor and sterile experience

I'm a fan of borthwick but he hasn't been good for a while

Weather has turned shit
Rain has turned to massive hail now. Or snow even. Going to be another white outfield

Looks like some bad clouds on their way, lovely now but lunch might be a long wet one

The lad nars
@brandon as a fellow cricketing foody I'm struggling and going to let you decide. Need to save some room for a Turkish place later. Do I have a house salad with chicken breast or a club Sandwich now?
This place is criminal, publishs the calories in its menu. 900+ for the club Sandwich, the slows cooked ribs are 1500+ 😂
Sky is turning bluer, forecast is for more rain but less likely. Stopped for now.

It's been so bad though I think they might struggle to get back out even if there's nee more.

Ordered a beer and a sandwich and after that if it's stayed dry I'll wander back over before giving up for the day if it starts again

Apologies for not being here for the important food decision , I’d popped over (in spirit) to Aintree for an hour or so while the snow is falling :o

Wish I was going to the Turkish like. I recommend the Pide. If they do it.
