South African captain one week British the next. The counties really take the mickey at times.According to The Cricketer - Elgar apparantly holds a British passport and therefore doesn't count as an overseas player.![]()
So once he stops playing for Ireland he will be back if he wants a pay day.Yep appears that is the case.
Below link states Dean Elgar (South Africa as non-overseas)
Absolute bollocks then that Paul Stirling can't play for Middlesex as much as I'm a republican he was born in Britain.

I assume that Bosch has been signed as cover for the injured Sam CookFollowed by a bit soul from Sam Cook.
Yeh,Bunsen likely by 4th dayWeather looks good for the game.
Maybe invite David Miler to do a Moonlight Serenade and Graeme Fowler to do a rendition of ‘Fox on the run’Followed by a bit soul from Sam Cook.
Makes no sense that he'd play the game that finishes 7 days before the Windies test match but not this one.Ackermann and Stokes likely to be unavailable for this.
Stokes set to play next week.

Campbell said at the last members meeting that Stokes would be playing v WorcsAckermann and Stokes likely to be unavailable for this
3 games we have Stokes for. Must admit I assumed the last game was Vs Essex but if it's Worcester then so be. In that note I'd definitely have Jones starting.Ackermann and Stokes likely to be unavailable for this.

Potts, who missed the Somerset game, has to come in for Stokes as one of the 4 seamers.Only place for Jones is if Ackerman misses out.3 games we have Stokes for. Must admit I assumed the last game was Vs Essex but if it's Worcester then so be. In that note I'd definitely have Jones starting.

Ah!, As in Marley Potts- new one to me.Be harsh to omit Clark. Ackers form was pretty ropey before his injury.I’d go for Lees,Jones,Badger, Bedders, Robbo, Clark/Akkers Raine,Coggs,;Marley, Siddle ,Parky . Wild card maybe McKinney

I'd have him in for Ackermann regardless in that casePotts, who missed the Somerset game, has to come in for Stokes as one of the 4 seamers.Only place for Jones is if Ackerman misses out.
The possibility of it turning on days 3/4 meant I placed Akkers alongside Clark for the number 6 spot . If Akkers is unfit then go for 4 seamers and ParkySome real competition For places which is a reflection on a good season. The front line batting has been propped up by outstanding first half of the seasons by Bedingham and Robinson with excellent cameos at times by the tail Potts Raine etc. The actual rest of the top order have been average at best but Jones was also the weak link along with Borthwick last season in div 2.
If Ackerman doesnt play they may have to play two spinners (discounting Borthwick inconsistent leggies) as 4 hot days at Chelmsford may lead to a turning wicket. That could give an opportunity to De leede as a seam bowling all rounder who the management clearly rate and to be honest does produce the goods with bat and ball although at times to me looks ordinary.
I think the line up will very much depend on the wicket but i reckon if Ackerman can bowl they probably want him in the side. I would definitely expect De leede and Drissel in the squad with the chance at least one will play.
