CC : Essex v Durham

We need to be careful here

I think Marty’s sentiments are right:

“Durham supporters don’t need to be getting nervous just yet.”

I think all that’s really changed is how quickly tonight we can declare, but the pitch does seem to be doing a hell of a lot more this afternoon to what it did yesterday so it’s all good for us with our 325 run lead.

Yea and the way the pitch is playing adds strength to the argument from some, to not facing Harmer on the final day.

I'll trust you

Couple of loose shots gifting wickets, still 130 overs left in the game, i'd like to see us bat another 15-20 and add another 80+ before considering declaring

So we have a lead of 353 with 32 overs left. Maybe look to bat another 15 over to get a further 80 or so runs, I'll definitely want 10 overs at Essex tonight.

It will be interesting to see how Essex play if they are chasing anything above 400 from 100 overs
