What a contrast from Scotty - in 1st innings (100 off 128) was destroying their bowling, today (9 off 88) just had to battle through.

Checked on Cricinfo for scores last couple of days . Even when Essex were well behind they had this cocky attitude.

I've quite liked the Essex commentary tbf. I've enjoyed watching Burnham as well - clearly talented and his positivity has given us a chance.

I only managed to see the first hour but been keeping an eye on the score and the comments on here ( been a bit concerned for Brandon's well being this afternoon ) will be an excellent victory if they can pull it off. To be honest it shows the strength and weaknesses of our current team but we are definitely improving as a team.

They have been fine very complementary about Borthwicks knock and Rushworth skill with the ball in the first innings. All have commented on the extra pace that Carse has and what a good prospect he is.
