Glad you enjoyed yourself FD.

I’m also suitably burnt despite following the shadow for much of the day. I don’t think there’s many better places to be than a cricket ground in the summertime. The absolute height of civilisation
Yes it is!
I was in the shade in the County Durham Stand up until Lunch, but decided to go for a wander and was in the Newcastle Airport stand until tea....which was where I got bont!
Will head for the County Durham stand again tomorrow!
....and should hopefully see us finish it off!

Raine gone. Have to say Leach has deserved that wicket today. Durham effectively 316-7 with 27 overs left today
Leach bowled superbly.
And Pennington was pretty swift.

I always look on Leach as our nemesis. I noticed today that he started beating Bancroft repeatedly who then went down the other end and got out - him getting out was down to Leach I reckon.

Airport Stand???? Ahh you mean the trapdoor stand. :p

Ahh....is THAT the infamous trapdoor stand?!?!
Just looked at the back of my ticket for the name.
Full of tanned retired types....lucky bastards!

Yes it was.

Wondering who it was.

Excellent stuff been busy since got in from work. What a welcome sight that scorecard is.

Rushy is just a class act. Surprised none of the other counties have tried offering him big money to move away. Imagine he's a loyal bloke though happy to stay up here.

That scoreboard shows just how good he's been.

very good day for Durham
it should be bye bye Clark and Pringle
They have had too many chances and constantly fail to deliver
I'm reserving judgement on Harte and basher Burnham just for now
Come on Rushy
finish them off tomorrow

In the 2nd Div Rushy has 52 wickets with the possibility or more ..... the nearest in terms of no of wicket is Bunny Onions with 42 who has played one match less. What a opening pair they would have made if ...

...if bunny wasn't too old and we needed to replace him with an older aussie who has disappointed for majority of the two year deal we gave him that bunny wanted?

Couple of interesting stats from the Beeb (probably down to Marty)

  • Worcestershire have never won at Chester-le-Street in the County Championship, their only two previous away wins over Durham having been at Stockton in 1993 and Darlington in 1995.

  • And opener Mitchell will certainly be happy to see the back of Rushworth, who has now got him out this season four times - for scores of 0, 9, 0 and 1.
Hopefully the stat about Worcester at CLS continues to be the case this time tomorrow.

Thought there was a very decent crowd in today for a Monday mind.

Most definitely stick with Harte he's a useful cricketer who just needs game time. Seen more than enough from him to suggest he's worth working with. Clark definitely a concern. Pringle is frustrating as he's in on merit doing well in the 2nd XI (yes I know it's different but he's doing what he's asked to do). Maybe the T20 will help some players.
