Looking around the grounds with regards to our promotion prospects:
Leicestershire and Glamorgan have lost so much play that Glamorgan are still in their first innings after Leicestershire put them in on Monday.
Sussex are in trouble at home to bottom club Derbyshire, effectively 32-3 in their second innings.
Yorkshire need one wicket in order to be able to enforce the follow on at Worcestershire, so they’ll feel confident they can force a win - but they are likely to face a large points deduction.
So our current cushion of 36 points over Leicestershire (35 over Sussex) seems very likely to be getting extended at the end of this round of fixtures.

Hardly anyone else is winning games in this division so if we get a 5th win in this game it's very difficult to see anyone catching us.

I suspect that if we win this game, we’ll likely gain enough points simply through the accumulation of batting and bowling bonus points to see us promoted.

Exactly. We have done very well on the bonus points all season and if you get good bonus points you also usually get at least a draw.
The biggest bonus for me this season has been the batting and more particularly the rate we score at. This gives us more time with the ball to get 20 wickets.

We have played 95 per cent of every county game very well this season. We are now playing the five per cent we find hardest,, shifting a set batter batting with 9, 10 jack in the second innings.. 42 partnership so far, Get Hammond and the game is done.

Petulance now I think, he must be huffed because some of his earlier decisions were questioned.
Two howlers in my view, the other ones that were disputed I think he got right.
