CC : Durham v Worcestershire

Siddle’s last game with us this one so I expect he’ll play. Will be interesting to see if we look to add a bowler to the squad for the last 5 games of the season when they come around.

Worcestershire’s bowling corps are loaded with loanees at the moment, they’re having no luck with injuries and fitness.

I reckon there’ll be enough dry weather to force a result, hopefully we can end up on the right side of it.

That Worcestershire squad looks more like a 2nd division outfit. If Durham produce another sporty wicket it could be another shortened game a bit like Somerset especially if Potts plays.

I’ve just been looking at the Championship averages there - mainly to see how Pennington has been doing, because his Test selection seems ridiculous to me - but I notice Siddle has 10 wickets at 17, which when you consider this will be his last game, makes his lack of overs in the second innings at Essex all the more puzzling.

Hopefully he gets plenty of action in this game, personally I’d throw him the new ball - especially if Potts doesn’t play.

Wonder whether the lack of a spinner suits the pitch, which is a direct result of them drafting in Virdi and having a depleted seam attack.

That Nathan Smith is dangerous mind.
