CC :: Durham v Worcestershire

I think I'll pop along for the '£5 after tea' offer.

£5 for a handshake seems steep like
Looks like Barnard should have been run out there.
No Bedders in the field.

Very jealous of the weather you've got today! Not brought a change of clothes as anticipate not worth the drive (fingers crossed this helps)

Personally I'd like to see bedders take the next few weeks off and get right. Run machine Dickson can replace him against derby

I see. Lots of members asking the same question, not just myself.

"Lead high performance coach" - None the wiser.

Think about it. I appreciate that might be a problem for you like.

Barnard c & b Coughlin 128.

36 to avoid the follow on. 3 wickets left.
On the contrary-that's what causes the confusion.
His job title is " Lead High Performance coach".

No confusion when considered in relation to the point (or points) that WHED was trying to score, however.

Why single me out? Many others asking the very same question on here. Likewise many at the ground ask it every game.

Trying to score??? Eh??? I'm asking a question which others are asking on here and folk at the ground mutter/ask every game. I'm not trying to score anything. I've been consistent with my view for a year now about Franklin. Bin him off and give Walker/Gidman the job. I'm still none the wiser what Franklin does... Answers on a postcard and delivered to the county Durham Upper

I singled you out because it’s you (and only you) who was trying to paint a fairly innocent situation as a negative against Franklin.

I get you don’t like him (or atleast his coaching/management style) and I have no issue whatsoever with that, you’re more than entitled. BUT, it does you and your view a disservice when you try and turn every tiny thing into a negative against him.

As I said, I’ve been in various dressing rooms where the ‘lead’ voice often gave way to assistant coaches for a particular talk. You can argue it’s a strength as much as it is a weakness.

If you take your blinkers off, hopefully you’ll understand.

Innocent situation? The lead head coach again not giving the team talk... Left to a fella who was pushed out by the lead head coach .. blinkers are well and truly off, I know what I see and I'm not the only one saying it which you fail to grasp. It's not a case of "I don't like him", I'm just confused as to what he actually does.

I’ve just told you, so I’m not sure why you’re ignoring what I said.

Plenty of dressing rooms I’ve been in where the manager for a particular game would turn to the assistant and say ‘you take this one’.

You could just as easily argue it as a strength - in that he trusts his assistants, as the weakness you are trying to paint.

You’re reading far too much into it. Who’s to say Franklin didn’t give the ‘official’ team talk in the dressing room prior to them going out and that this was simply a pep talk following the warm up by the coach who always delivers the warm up….?

Stop looking for problems that may not even exist.
I've been thinking about it for a very long time... Still none the wiser like many on here and at the games

Obviously never played sport to any sort of standard then.

So you acknowledge they may exist then?

:lol: ah so we need to have played sport now to "understand".

I'll stick to looking at results, body language, and listening to the regulars at the games. Each to their own

"lead head coach" doesn't fuck off and leave the club midway through a season (I haven't played the game mind................)

I’ve acknowledged that several times before.

But if a kick in the c*nt to completely ignore everthing else I said in favour of that one little line though.
Whatever his title he's been doing a shit job

A point I’ve never actually argued against.
and the fact our best performances were during his stint away tells you everything you need to know

I’d strongly doubt that point.

Baker c Rushworth b Coughlin 3.

30 to avoid the follow-on. 2 wickets left

I was sat right behind them when this happened. All coaches talked & Franky for the longest and the clip just happens to have been filmed with Walker was speaking. I’m not fully convinced by Franklin either but jeeez talk about pushing an agenda based on a 13 second video
