CC :: Durham v Worcestershire

Been a good partnership this. Raine always a dangerous customer in the lower order but nice to see Coughlin getting runs. He must be a nightmare for the batsman at the other end as he's so quick between the stumps, always looking for two.

Just been round the ground to meet @viccarlton . Parked my car, near the edge of the big entrance, so a woman chose to make an issue by claiming I was blocking the way. You could have got an articulated lorry past where I was positioned.

in fact one bloke pulled around her and got away no bother at all

Brilliant partnership this between Raine and Coggers. I was genuinely worried we’d lose the initiative following that mini-collapse, felt we could’ve missed a big opportunity by not even making 450 - now though, 550 should be a given AND 600 is still on the cards if these lads are working towards milestones.

How is the pitch playing? Will Durham get more out of it, when we are finished

Pretty honest and true bounce, one or two today have just started to keep low but I think generally the overall feeling is that it’s not a particularly ‘quick’ pitch.

However, I expect our lads will bowl more stump to stump and try to keep the Worcestershire batsmen honest for a long period of time.

Worcestershire will need 451 just to avoid the follow-on if we press on to 600 and given they’ll have spent best part of 150 overs in the field I certainly wouldn’t be backing them to move beyond that even on a very flat deck.

Coughlin 50 from 77 balls with 6 fours and a six.

Durham 569-7 (144 overs)

Any time for you marra.

Absolutely effortless pickup from Coughlin who does nothing more than gently flick a full delivery from Gibbon off his pads, but it carries all the way for six :lol:

Partnership is now 150.

Durham 582-7 (146 overs)

Raine 82*
Coughlin 62*
