Not with Badger, Trev and Ravindra in squad. Could be useful in CC end of season on used pitches.Don't rule out the lad from Middlesex playing.

If Dickson is not fit that looks a fair enough team. I think Borthwick and Bedingham have to bat at 3 and 4.Jones
Ravindra (opens in fc)
Borthwick
Bedingham
Bushnell (heard a rumour)
Eckersley
Coughlin
Trevaskis
Raine
Salisbury
Rushy
Coggers has played 8 consecutive games, albeit only T20. That's a PB for him.Wanna see Bushnell and Coughlin playing.
Coughlin has been a bit wild in T20s, but glimpses of some good stuff,
I still believe he can be an important player for us and justify bringing him back
Bedingham?- If ever there's an example of how this club has regressed. If Dickson is not fit that looks a fair enough team. I think Borthwick and Bedingham have to bat at 3 and 4.
Read an article very recently where Bostock said the club had recovered ahead of schedule from the financial sanctions and we're on schedule to be completely debt free by 2024. How the planned ground developments are factored into this I wouldn't know but I'll take him at this word that finances are sound, he echoed the same sentiment in a Zoom forum, and therefore presumably played recruitment shouldn't be hindered.I think it's clear that the squad has been much too thin this season to the extent that one player being unexpectedly picked for England has unhinged everything. - to me that points to the club not being particularly serious about winning promotion for this season and haven't spent to prepare a strong squad, good players but not a strong squad able to withstand the loss of personnel, which is something that can happen at any time.
I hope this is part of a strategy, ie still fixing the finances and to prepare for a strong push next season and not just because this is the best we can do now and in the future. Hopefully they plan on a multi-season basis and not just one season at a time.
And then says that the new England coach has spoken to him and asked if he would be available to tour the sub continent this winter and Mo basically says yes especially if it's Pakistan.Well Moeen isn't playing he is commentating on the test match for TMS.
He must have retired from first class cricket.
Interesting to see how Bedingham bats in this championship match he has been awful in this T20.Coggers has played 8 consecutive games, albeit only T20. That's a PB for him.
He made his Durham debut 10 years ago and we're still using the word potential.
Last year of contract, definitely last chance saloon.

But 'sound' can simply mean that the bank balance isn't in danger of suddenly falling over with a strangled squawk not that they're necessarily bulging nor where they want them to be.Read an article very recently where Bostock said the club had recovered ahead of schedule from the financial sanctions and we're on schedule to be completely debt free by 2024. Squad cover did look thin pre-season but I assumed the absence of signings indicated they were confident that we had academy products ready to advance.2nd XI looks weak with a dearth of talent particularly in the bowling ranks which has been our forte. We have had England calls and injuries but I still believe the core squad is strong enough to make a promotion bid.
It's underachieved, however, nor are Academy products coming through. I'm not convinced that either Franklin or Killeen are delivering. Buck stops there.

I would hope that Rushy's loss of form has much to do with the inferior ball they were using. Bedingham should be at the peak of his career so should hope that his loss of form is temporary. A good coach should help a player come through it,be it technical or psychological. I don't hold much hope for him then.Combination of things really, the playing side looks weak this year but it's a tail of two halves, theoretically we've improved due to the emergence of Potts and improvement of Dickson and Jones but balanced by the regression of rushy and bedingham and the fact Potts is now away with England has totally capitulated us
Iirc Bedingham started off like a steam train last season and then stuttered.I would hope that Rushy's loss of form has much to do with the inferior ball they were using. He did but not to the extent it is currently.Iirc Bedingham started off like a steam train last season and then stuttered.

Potts has been a revelation
And Trev looks like he’s going to be a real star for us
2 younger academy players stepping him, despite results being iffy these are huge positives
This is my point about the club you seem to disagree with.
Disagree all you like the results tell you that despite that being true were still uncompetitive so as much as you want academy players to be the answer they're only part of the story
