424 all out.

We need 275 to avoid the follow on.

I'm going for 2 wickets down before Supper.

55-0 at Tea/Supper - Latham 34*, Steel 19*.

Pleasantly surprised to not have lost a wicket.

Edit - Steel 14*.

I love 'proper' cricket but this game is testing even my patience.
27 overs before lunch,Trott doing his best Boycott impression, an even sparser 'crowd' than yesterday and a general feeling of simply going through the motions and as for this bloody 2pm farce.....

Needless to say I shall be there tomorrow.;)

Talking to the bloke on the gate tonight said they only had 900 in yesterday and less today said people weren't happy

Don't know who he meant mind

More than likely the heirarchy! Figures like that can’t bode well in an attempt to attract newcomers and coffers! I’ve a game tomorrow night or I’d have been there.

And yet for a 2pm start the club decide not to open the gates until 1pm. It was embarrassing for the stewards yesterday not being able to allow spectators in before then.

I'm amazed there was that many tbh. It's an absolute joke.

Was a very pleasant day.

Seems like people on here are generally less interested with Durham in general this past two weeks aswell. Whether it's because we're getting hammered or what I don't know.

Regarding this game, Trott's anti cricket approach means that if we can push beyond the follow on target it'll likely mean a draw is guaranteed.

Big if like.

It appeared that Trott was batting for his average yesterday. He never appeared to have any intention to push things along.
Still I got a nice tan, read a good book about Bob Willis and had a big ice cream with loads of monkey's blood.:D

How come? Thought people might come after work

I reckon the number of spectators leaving between 5pm -7pm compared to those arriving was about 10:1

Would help if they helped out. Only last session is cheaper, most people finish work around 5pm, so anyone within an hours drive will be there for 6pm, but not allowed in until 7pm?

This is what has stopped me going up, i'd be there for 5.30, would sit in my car or have a walk until 6pm and then get in, but no point going and either paying full price or sitting for 90mins. Plus if i go home first it's the opposite direction by 20mins each way

Just tell them you are gannin to the gym and drive in. If anyone is looking pop into the gym and ask for an application form or a quick look round or something.
