Don't think he has. Too many loose deliveries. Bowl wicket to wicket on this pitch and you a skittle them.

Came down for after lunch sessions. Barriers closed for the overflow parking. Missed 2 wickets trying to find a spot 😡
 
I wonder if the groundsman has left a bit more grass on than normal to suit our seamers. Other wickets have played far flatter to the naked eye
 
It was mentioned on commentary briefly that he left a few extra mm on like. I’m out now so not watching but they did say Vic was due on for a chat after lunch so if he hasn’t already been on he might mention it.
 
Groundman has been for a while on now but I'm drifting in and out of the stream so not catching all the interview. He was certainly saying something about the wickets, grass and rain impacting how much grass they leave.

Caught by ‘captain’ Lees. Some may not be big fans of Marty, but these new club lads are dropping little errors like that constantly that nark me.

He’s on comms now, it’s more the fact the pitch has been under covers for two days and will have a bit of moisture in it. Says they expected a bit of early life but that it should play quite well.

Hope he’s right and our lads can make hay.

Feel like they’re trying to do to much, I’m puzzled as to why the club have gone down the route of employing a number of people who unfortunately aren’t anywhere near as knowledgeable or on top of their brief as Marty.

If it costs them more to pay the BBC for the rights, fair enough, but I can’t see how it would.

Mind I do enjoy the guests they’re generally getting on.

Presumably they're work experience lads or club shop shelf stackers on their days off. Deeing everything on the cheap
