I will compare it to another one of his favourites Richardson also averages 26 he clearly is alluding to Colly who we all know has been terrible.

Richardson who is top of our batting averages in the one day cup & who is only 1 of 4 players with a red ball century this season with the 3rd top score of the season for the club in red ball cricket?

I think Colly gets a bit of good grace due to all he's done

could well be his last season.........

Dress it up how you like 26 average is poor you used to slag stoneman of who was 10times better

Procter edges behind fourth ball, or so the entire Durham team felt. Umpire unmoved.

Curran’s stance at the crease makes him look like he’s taking a shite.

Just back came home early
Our batting was just horrendous again irrespective of any early movement
The county championship averages don’t lie and none of our batsmen have over 400 runs and the highest batsmen average is 25
Woody has a higher average but I’m not counting him in because of his limited appearances and the fact that he isn’t a batsman
The batsman on a whole have been terrible all season

All their batters so far have seemed to get starts, we need a big effort to bowl them out and bat ourselves back in the game

There for two sessions today and easy to blame the batsmen but sorry that was a poor pitch and not for the first time this season in the championship.

First the positives...it was another lovely day weather wise.

Back in the old days Harry Brind would have been docking us 25pts for that pitch today...I lost count of the number of grass cutters and it turned Luke Procter into Mike Procter.

Salisbury bowled well again (my nomination for player of the season) and Rushy was desperately unlucky especially when Richardson dropped Wakely first ball then Lees did the same next delivery...he went on to make 60 which will probably be the match winning innings.

Once again we leaked loads of runs to the vacant Third Man position and I think sadly Colly should call it a day now and get Lees to take over the reigns.

Probably the poorest days play I've seen this season in the Championship at home ....and for the record I've seen them all!!:D

I see our resistant know it all @GordonMuchallNo1Fan favourite Mccarthy getting hit around the park
"Barry McCarthy is an Ireland seam bowler whose involvement with Durham owes much to a recommendation by their England allrounder, Ben Stokes, who faced him in the nets before a one-day international and advised his county to take a look. Durham did just that and McCarthy made his first-class debut in 2015."
It seems Stokes also rates McCarthy, who, unlike most of our young bowlers, keeps fit.
