Durham 68/4...bad mistake by Lees after looking solid.
Patel clean bowled for 8 ..68/5...another piss poor batting wicket.

What’s your overall opinion on Cameron Steel? In terms of how he’s performed this season?

I think he’s had a very poor season unfortunately, I’m interested to see how he goes next season though and feel he might be able to bat 3 if Lees and Bancroft open. In my view, it would suit him better to come in at 3.

I think the majority of the 1st xi have under performed hence I'm amazed we haven't seen much in the way of 2nd XI promotion. Goes without saying I think Steel will be disappointed with some performances but also delighted with game time and the fact he was rewarded with the 4 day captaincy for the Derbyshire home game. Stand by what ive said though, i believe he'll come good and I'd give him the captaincy. May well be a place up for grabs with rumours of Colly packing in (house up for sale). I'd stick with him though probably at 3

26 average.... Not good and I believe he will do better. Far far worse in the squad though who I believe shouldn't be involved

I will compare it to another one of his favourites Richardson also averages 26 he clearly is alluding to Colly who we all know has been terrible.
